Studio Art Classes for Adults in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

EXPLORATIONS IN ART

In this congenial class, artistic concepts and techniques are explored through a variety of media based on class preference.  Acrylic painting, printmaking, watercolor, pastels, silk painting, and mosaics are just a few of the media that we cover.   Projects are content-rich, accessible to all levels, and time-tested. Pick one day:                                             

Mondays: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm OR Wednesdays: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Cost:  $50 per class, paid by the month, all materials and finishing included.

Online Classes for Adults (via Zoom):

ONLINE DRAWING FROM LIFE AND WATERCOLOR BASICS NEW

In this Zoom class, students learn how to draw what they see through a step-by-step method that ensures success. Following a tried and true curriculum, the class includes both drawing skills and classic watercolor techniques through fun projects that maximize success. Suitable for beginning and intermediate-level students.

Wednesdays, 5-7 pm (Pacific)

ONLINE INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED DRAWING FROM LIFE

In this Zoom class, students learn how to draw realistically in pencil, ink, charcoal, and colored pencil through a wide variety of subjects, while exploring different styles. Students are encouraged to develop their own style of artistic expression.

Mondays: 2 pm - 4 pm, Pacific Standard Time

ONLINE INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED WATERCOLOR

In this Zoom class, students explore the world through watercolor, learning to paint everything from landscapes to portraits. Though we follow classic traditions of painting, all students are encouraged to paint in the way that brings them the most joy and personal satisfaction.

Wednesdays: 2 pm - 4 pm, Pacific Standard Time

Important Information:

·  Classes are limited in size to maximize individualized instruction. Please email about availability as some classes are currently full. · Classes are run by the month, with most months having four weeks of classes. Tuition adjusts depending on how many classes per month occur. Students may begin or end classes at any time as classes are ongoing and pro-rated. ·  Classes are conducted once a week and are two hours long. ·  Studio classes break for major holidays and for the summer months. Online classes run year-round with breaks determined by the class. ·  Missed classes (24-hour notice required) are credited to the next month. ·  Tuition is due on the first class of the month. Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, cash, or checks are all accepted. ·  Returning students have priority for class spots when studio classes form at the end of summer.
